Some can afford to lose more than others, and that's fine. The main thing should be only playing with money that you can afford to lose.

If you started with too small a roll, or you are neglecting to study at all and are not improving much, you may have to start all over with a reload, if you can afford it. If you practice good bankroll management, you can still lose your entire bankroll.
Are you trying to have fun and get better at the game, or are you trying to 'hit it big'? If you are trying to do the latter without first doing the former, there are good odds that you will be frequently losing your entire roll and having to start over. I guess it just depends on what you are trying to do. If you are simply trying to 'hit it big' then you are probably doing too much gambling and not enough poker playing. The whole point of bankroll management is to avoid having to start all over, and avoid losing all of your roll.
